Original Run: 6 episodes in 2000
Being a big fan of Garth Marenghi, The Office and Mitchell and Webb, I thought this would be a winner...
...and it is! Well it has its moments anyway. Some sketches were your bog standard sketches that you see in most sketch shows, but some were original and really did stand out. I could easily see the Mitchell/Webb and the Holness/Ayoade comedy writing style in this. A few were "wacky" when others were clever, and that made a dynamic sketch show that's worth a watch. The varied pace of the show will be down to the array of talented up-and-coming (well back in 2000) comedy writers and actors.
Clips:
The clip below is a one of a series of sketches where the "psycho" finds himself in various situations asking how dangerous and lethal things are. I can see this acting style in recent Mitchell and Webb sketches. Check it out.
Another series of sketches below. All are David Mitchell being sarcastic in different jobs. Funny.
